The Department of Humanities and the Social Sciences in the Professions invites applications for a tenure-track position in International Education at the rank of Assistant Professor, and a tenured position in International Education at the rank of Associate/Full professor. The appointed faculty members will be part of the Program in International Education, which prepares students for professional careers in multinational and international settings. The Program develops educational experts at the MA level who design, implement and manage international education programs, and academics and researchers at the doctoral level who conduct cross-national and evaluation studies of international cultural and educational exchange, student and faculty mobility, education for international development, education in areas of conflict, trans-national migration, multicultural education, and the globalization of higher education. Both appointments begin September 1, 2014.
Candidates for the tenure track Assistant Professor position should have a strong background in quantitative methods, a well-defined research agenda, and a record of published peer-reviewed research. Candidates for the tenured Associate/Full Professor position should have extensive peer-reviewed publications, using qualitative and/or mixed methods, and a demonstrated record of externally-funded research grants.
Responsibilities include research, teaching, development of an externally-funded research program, program administration, and participation in faculty meetings, committees and other service appropriate to a university faculty member.
