Call for Submissions – Ubiquity: The Journal of Literature, Literacy and the Arts

Ubiquity: The Journal of Literature, Literacy and the Arts is a new online peer-reviewed journal currently looking for reviewers and individuals to submit to our four strands:

  • Research: This strand discusses recent trends in research and theory in the fields of literature, literacy, arts and related fields. A wide range of formats and methodologies is accepted, including qualitative research, quantitative studies, mixed methods research, conceptual and theoretical pieces, or meta analyses.
  • Praxis: This strand publishes practical applications (strategies, programs, teaching ideas, classroom projects, etc.) and articles on innovative approaches to teaching literature, literacy, arts and related fields in the classroom and beyond. It also accepts models of authentic assessments and interdisciplinary approaches to teaching critical literacy, social justice, and innovative and creative thinking.
  • Creative Works: This strand solicits and celebrates original literary work, art, and journalism (e.g., drama, poetry, music, film, photography, or documentary) from students, educators, writers, and artists. The overarching goal of this strand is to showcase quality literature, art, and journalism of different genres, forms, and media.
  • News from the Community: This strand covers information related to literature, literacy, arts and related fields from the community. The community is broadly defined as students, parents, writers, activists and policy makers. The strand invites submissions in diverse journalistic forms (e.g., feature articles, fact-sheets, newsletters, editorials, letters, essays, or reports).
