The Arizona State Univeristy/ Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College (MLFTC) will hire endowed Fulton post-doctoral fellowships for two academic years starting in the fall of 2013. This is a residential fellowship. The selected fellow will work on research related to the complex equity demands of urban education and its impact on PreK-12 schools and students.
With the introduction of the Common Core, the new national assessments, the continued identification of failing schools and statewide and national policies that often negatively impact PreK-12 classrooms, MLFTC is interested in hiring fellows whose research addresses the equity precursors or consequences of these issues. The fellows’ research should address questions related to learning, technologies and/or literacies in urban schools. The fellows’ research will address these themes from the perspectives of teacher preparation, specific populations (e.g., early childhood, special education, English learners), and/or policies that affect urban education.
